Cooking Indonesian cuisines with PPI Liverpool

This series of post will introduce you to Indonesian delicious cuisines and some Indonesian words. Today's menu is opor ayam (chicken in coconut milk).

This menu is a favourite menu during Eid Mubarak.




Here are the ingredients:

5 pieces of chicken thighs

5 boiled eggs

1 cup potatoes

1 onion

1 tsp garlic powder

2 tbs shredded candlenut, roasted

2 tsp ground coriander, roasted

1 tsp galangal powder, roasted

½ tsp ground ginger

½ tsp ground pepper

2 bay leaves

2 tsp salt

1 tsp sugar

3 tbs coconut cream

500 ml of water
